1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Astrae application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Astrae is an AI-powered astrology application that provides:

Personalized natal chart calculations based on your birth data.
AI-generated astrological readings and guidance.
Daily horoscopes and cosmic weather reports.
A conversational interface to ask astrology-related questions.

Important: Astrae is an entertainment and self-reflection tool. It does not provide professional advice of any kind, including medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the App.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate birth data for astrological calculations.
One account per person. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

4. Token System and Billing

4.1 Tokens

Astrae uses a token-based system. Each question costs a specific number of tokens based on complexity.
New users receive 10 free tokens upon registration.
Users receive 1 free token daily (daily bonus).
Additional tokens can be purchased through the App.

4.2 Subscriptions

Premium: Monthly or annual subscription with allocated monthly tokens.
Cosmic: Monthly or annual subscription with unlimited questions.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Prices are in USD. Local currency equivalents may vary based on exchange rates.

4.3 Purchases and Refunds

All payments are processed through Stripe.
Token packs are non-refundable once credited to your account.
Subscription refunds follow Stripe's refund policies.
Unused tokens do not expire as long as your account remains active.

5. AI-Generated Content

5.1 Nature of Content

All astrological readings, horoscopes, and responses are generated by artificial intelligence.
Content is based on astronomical calculations and astrological interpretations.
Responses are for entertainment and personal reflection only.

5.2 Disclaimer

No guarantees: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated content.
Not professional advice: AI responses should never replace professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
No predictions: Astrae does not predict future events, health outcomes, death, or any specific life events.
Planetary data: Astrological calculations are based on the astronomy-engine library and real astronomical data, but astrological interpretations are subjective.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Exploit the AI system to generate harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content.
Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated content without permission.
Circumvent or manipulate the token system.
Use the App to harass, threaten, or harm others.

7. Intellectual Property

The Astrae name, logo, design, and all visual elements are proprietary.
AI-generated astrological readings are provided for your personal use.
The App's source code, algorithms, and architecture are protected by copyright.
You retain ownership of the questions you ask, but grant us a license to process them through our AI system.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at https://astrae.app/privacy.

9. Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain App availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Daily horoscope generation depends on our cron system and AI service availability.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Astrae is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
We are not liable for any decisions made based on AI-generated astrological content.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.
We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions (Anthropic, Stripe, Supabase).

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Unused tokens and remaining subscription time are forfeited upon account deletion.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil.
Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
